Yeah yeah yeah, we get it. Bergen, Norway is and has been the IT city for music over the past decade. Kings of Convenience, Sondre Lerche, Royksopp, and don't even get me started on all the metal that hails from this city. Real Ones are yet another band (not metal) to add to the talent pool.
This single remains true to the old fashioned remix 12" concept and the tracklisting here offers three versions of "Outlaw" offering mixes that genre bend them from sounding like the Beta Band to house music with a slow build. The final track "Theme From Mikal Telle" is a swinging Indian folkish instrumental. The bummer is this track has multiple skips that act like a locked groove - not cool and to do a return with Rough Trade over seas is a pain in the ass. Perhaps tracking these down via MP3 format will be your best bet.
Real Ones have recently signed a three record deal with Warner Music Norway and their first full length is out now as an import.
